Here are some additional directions to places where we may need to appear with clients. Please consult with the attorney assigned to your case beforehand to verify whether or not your attendance is required, as well as other parties who may need to attend.
To the Division of Labor Relations The Division of Labor Relations which houses the JLMC and CERB (what
used to be the LRC and BCA) is accessed throught the walk-in entrance
to the Division of Unemployment Assistance which is on the government
center side of 19 Staniford Street (i.e., not the Staniford Street
side). Security is very tight, and you should expect to show a picture
ID, and remove all metal objects from your person before going through
the metal detector. Tell the guard you are going to Division of Labor
Relations, and you will be given a temporary ID. Head straight back
from the front door and follow the hall way as it turns right. DLR is
at the end of the hallway. To the Civil Service Commission Take the elevator to the fifth floor and find room 504. Inside this door, there will be a waiting area with a sign in sheet. There are two hearing rooms, one to the left and one down the hall to the right. There is also a conference room in the back office where pre-hearing conferences are generally held. Make sure you have checked the hearing notice beforehand, as some Civil Service Hearings are held at the Division of Administrative Law Appeals To the American Arbitration Association Most arbitrations happen at the client's location, but rarely they are
held in Boston at the offices of the AAA. If the notice specifies
Boston, check with counsel in advance to ensure that there has not been
a change. To the Massachusetts Commission against Discrimination Most hearings are held in Boston or Springfield, so be sure to check the hearing notice. To the Joint Labor Management Committee The Division of Labor Relations which houses the JLMC and CERB (what
